Season’s Greetings to you all. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed their time and efforts to make the 2024 season a tremendous success. Your dedication and passion have truly shone through, creating unforgettable memories and inspiring moments - Here’s to 2025!

The CKGB 2024 season came to an end with the “Season Finale” at Santa Pod on 12th & 13th October. We tried some new formats and had a great time generally with our karts before we hibernate to the sheds for the winter for the annual tinkerage to begin!!

CKGB returned to Shuttleworth for the 2024 ‘Race Day’ Airshow. The Race Day is a combined motor vehicle and aircraft show for vehicles from the period up to World War 2. Consequently, the Cyclekarts certainly looked the part amidst the great variety of inspiration cars. The cars were also joined by many motorbikes and aircraft of that era.

Following a great show in 2023, CKGB was once more invited to entertain the crowds at this years Newark Kit Car Festival. For 2024 this was expanded to include a day at ELK Karting on their tarmac kart track.

CKGB joined the VSCC to celebrate their 90th Anniversary show day with lots of events to participate in, attractions and celebrations with the best of the VSCC.

CKGB returned to Westonzoyland this year with nine Cyclekarts booked, including first-time appearances for Terry Sanders STUTZ and Chris Noonan’s Hardy SS Special. In addition to the first timers there were some ‘old times’ Chris Slade ERA R3A and Chris Loader Austin 7 Class H and those running since 2023 Glynn Evans Austin 7 Ulster, Nick Hincks MG, Ian Lang Alvis Firebird Special and Ian McCabe Bloody Mary Bolster Special.

CKGB returned to Santa Pod Raceway for their 2024 "Dragstalgia" event where we had the use of the Live Arena all to ourselves.

CKGB returned to Brooklands for the ‘Brooklands Relived” weekend with no fewer than 19 Cyclekarts!!! where we entertained the crowds with demonstrations, sprints and the legendary hill climb runs

Following the Clubs impressive display at the 2023 Newark Kit Car Festival, the show organisers invited us to attend the National Kit Car Show at the Three Counties Showground near Malvern.

Our first major event of the CKGB 2024 Calendar saw a trek up North to Bridlington to Race the Waves on their marvellous south beach. This was a new event for us, but it was worth all the effort…

2024 has kicked off with some pre-season events in preparation for our main events, but we have already seen lots of great new Cyclekarts and had a great time as well - roll on the rest of the season!!

Our Annual General Meeting and builder’s meet will take place on Sat 9th March 2024. Arrive from 9am for a 10am start at Gasoline Juice and then onto Whilton Mill Karting. An agenda and report for the formal bit will be sent out in due course, but for now, please register before the 23rd Feb - We look forward to welcoming and speaking with you all. Team CKGB :)

We need a few folks to help with Clerk of the Course and qualified First Aid roles. Full training will be given for people willing to support these roles.

Our first event of 2024!! An online gathering of CKGB Members to chat about all things Cyclekarts and how to build an eligible CKGB spec Kart - we look forward to welcoming and speaking with you all. Team CKGB :)

New for 2024, we have worked on designing and making chassis plates, which we are pleased to say will be provided within your full membership renewal fee.

Mark Underdown has become the 2023 Drivers World Champion with just half a point in it!!

The track event was both the wettest and yet the most attended of the year with many people travelling from all over the country to see Cyclekarts in the flesh

We took along 5 Cyclekarts to show at the 2023 Shuttleworth ‘Wings and Wheels’ show.

There was lots of interest as always at the 2023 Sywell Piston and Props show and we took along 8 Cyclekarts to show everyone what they are all about.

A quick round up of the events happening in the last quarter of the 2023 season. With two shows and two circuit events, there are some good opportunities to come along, see some Cyclekarts up close and learn as much as you can about the hobby.
